The Communist Party

The history of 90 years is also the history of China's textile and garment industry from small to large, from weak to strong.

In this process, every step of growth has condensed the wisdom and sweat of the Chinese nation.

From 1921 to 1949, China

textile industry

Although there is a certain foundation, wool textile, cotton spinning and other textile mills inevitably have the semi colonial brand.

Britain and the United States and other countries have gradually controlled about 40% of the 5 million cotton spinning spindles in old China by virtue of various privileges in China.

These foreign textile mills are located in a few port cities along the coast.

And the textile industry of national capital depends on foreign countries in terms of machinery, equipment, cotton, wool, dyestuff and so on. Textile mills are mostly located on the coast.

Therefore, before the founding of new China, China's textile industry was far from the mainland's textile raw material producing areas and textile consumption markets, and concentrated on coastal cities such as Shanghai, Tianjin and Qingdao, and the layout was extremely unreasonable.

After the founding of new China, it is a long-term task to adjust and change this unreasonable regional layout in a planned way.

In November 1, 1949, the Ministry of textile industry of new China was formally established.

In 1951, China's textile machinery industry made the first batch of complete sets of spinning and weaving equipment, equipped with a newly built northwest cotton factory and new cotton mills in Wuhan, Zhengzhou, Xianyang, Handan and Urumqi.

In 1953, the textile industry started the large-scale construction of the first five year plan, and built 5 cotton textile industrial bases in Beijing, Shijiazhuang, Handan, Zhengzhou and Xi'an. It also established 6 printing and dyeing factories, 3 Woollen Mills, 7 hemp textile mills, 4 silk factories, 3 chemical fiber factories and 1 spinning mills.

From 1978 to 1984, the textile industry began to reform.

Administration

We should gradually enhance the role of the market mechanism.

1979-1981 in the past three years, the average annual increase in textile production has reached over 18%.

In 1982, the output of cotton cloth reached 15 billion 300 million meters.

The rapid growth of textile production has changed the supply situation of the market.

In December 1983, the state decided to suspend the 29 years of cotton limited supply and open the supply, which has become a milestone in the development of the textile industry.

Since 1984, on the basis of public ownership, a planned economy has been implemented and the development of the textile industry has been quickened.

By 1994, China's garment export ranked the first in the world.

In 1995, textile and clothing exports ranked first in the world, and China became a real export power.

In December 2001, China formally joined the WTO, so that the export trade of textile and garment industries that had been restricted by quota had a new development.

The total export volume of textiles and clothing reached US $175 billion 616 million in 2007.

In 2002, the China Textile Industry Association launched a pilot project of textile industry cluster with industrial upgrading as its core content. Therefore, industrial clusters play an increasingly important role in the development of China's textile and garment industry.

By 2010, a total of 175 cities, counties and towns signed a "12th Five-Year" period of textile industry cluster pilot agreement, so that the textile industry cluster economy has risen to a new level.

Entering the new century, China's apparel industry has begun to enter the era of capital operation.

By the end of 2009, there were over 30 major clothing companies listed in the mainland and Hongkong securities markets, including Dayang, Shenzhou International, YOUNGOR, Shanshan, Bosideng, China Li Lang, seven wolves, MTIs bonwell, Lining, Anta, China trends, XTEP, reporting birds, Pathfinder and so on.

Although China's textile and garment industry has made brilliant achievements, it still has a long way to go in terms of brand building, technological innovation, management marketing, design and R & D.

In 2011, China has entered the "12th Five-Year" construction period, and is also the key period to build a strong textile and garment industry in 2020.

Under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, China's textile and garment industry is faced with new tasks and tests, that is, "seize the day", accelerate the pformation of development mode, speed up structural adjustment and industrial upgrading.
