Benetton Group FABRICA Takes Part In The Fifty-Fourth International Art Biennale Of Venice

Fabrica has been researching funding for young creative people from all over the world since 1994. At the fifty-fourth International Art Biennale of Venice, Fabrica selected the "tiger style" (Posizione della Tigre) in the design of Lana Sutra series created by Cuban young artist Erik Ravelo in Italy Pavilion.

It consists of a series of 15 installations, including the celebration of love and the desire for equality and sharing.

"Posizione della Tigre" is a plaster sculpture of a man and a woman. They are covered with different colored wool.

At the junction of their bodies, different colors interweave together to symbolize pure and natural love. Such love eliminates differences and connects all mankind.

Born in 1978 in Havana, Cuba.

In 2002, he graduated from Havana national Academy of Fine Arts and received research support from Fabrica. He was invited to Fabrica.

He has designed many projects here, including the three important social activities organized by the WHO (violence, road safety and World No Tobacco Day).

This is the starting point of creative cooperation and has continued to this day.

The works of Erik Ravelo have been widely reported in various media around the world and exhibited on various mainstream exhibitions, such as the "Les Yeux Ouverts" co organized by Fabrica and the Paris Pompidou center, which has been exhibited in Paris, Milan, Shanghai and Tokyo.

This is why the Italy Pavilion at the Venice Biennale can provide an ideal stage for its vision.

The more than 200 exhibits are from the ten years of the twenty-first Century, and each of them shows unique, original design ideas and artistic forms.

The exhibition marks a new step in cooperation between Fabrica and many prestigious international cultural centers, including the Paris Pompidou center that was once co operated, the three annual exhibition of Milan design, and the Vitoria and Albert museums in London.
