According to a recently released report, clothing imports in Argentina remained high growth in the first 7 months of this year, and the share of Chinese clothing in the Argentina market continued to expand.

The report shows that despite the Argentina government's restrictions on clothing imports, imports of clothing in Argentina increased by 54.1% over the first 7 months of this year.

Continued appreciation of the trend has affected Brazil's export to Argentina, while the share of Chinese clothing imports in Argentina has steadily increased.

In January this year, ~7 months, clothing was originally produced in China and Brazil.

The proportion of imported garments was 49.2% and 4.3% respectively, compared with 46% and 10% in the same period in 2008.
