Iran'S Domestic Leather Industry Is Affected By Raw Meat Imports.
Iran Economic Journal September 14th: Iran animal husbandry and leather industry association said that last year, Iran consumed 1 million 200 thousand tons of raw meat.
Iran produces 900 thousand tons of raw meat per year.
However, since last year, the quality and cheap beef in Brazil and other countries have poured into the Iran market. Domestic meat production has been seriously affected, and the number of cattle and sheep slaughtered has decreased dramatically, which has had a negative impact on the traditional leather processing industry in Iran.
