The Xiaobian of the network tells you about going to Vietnam to run factories and being upset about environmental protection.

With the announcement of the p Pacific Partnership Agreement and the free trade agreement between Vietnam and the European Union and South Korea, many textile and apparel investors in many countries around the world are planning to go to Vietnam to start a garment factory to make full use of the preferential terms and cheap labor force provided by the agreement.

However, at present, some investors who have gone to the inspection say that the cost of investment related to garment production in Vietnam, especially the raw material production project, is extremely high.

It is reported that

Vietnam?

Locally produced clothing accounts for 45% of Vietnam's clothing industry. The goal of the government is to vigorously develop the local garment industry and increase it to 80% by 2020.

However, only a small number of Vietnamese enterprises can carry out full line closed production and independently complete all production processes from weaving to dyeing to finished garments.

Because many enterprises in Vietnam are small and medium-sized enterprises, and lack sufficient financial resources, investing in textile mills is much more expensive than investing in garment factories.

It takes an average of 20 million ~3000 US dollars to start dyeing and dyeing mills, while setting up garment factories only cost 60 thousand ~11 US dollars.

In terms of supply of raw materials, Vietnamese farmers do not like to grow cotton because the Vietnamese government does not give subsidies to support them, making it difficult for farmers to profit from it.

Therefore, the local cotton production efficiency is low, the output is less, compared with imported cotton price is not competitive.

Phan Thi Hue, the head of Vietnam's Thanh Cong clothing company, said that although the company could carry out full line closed production, it still needs to import about 10% of raw materials from Indonesia.

Vinatext, Vietnam's biggest textile and garment producer, said the biggest challenge facing Vietnamese enterprises is investment, technology, labor and consumption.

The high cost of raw materials production plants is partly due to the high cost of building sewage treatment systems in Vietnam.

Therefore, the locals are least willing to start dyeing and weaving factories.

In addition, due to concerns about environmental pollution, some provinces in Vietnam do not welcome the construction of textile and garment factories.

The construction project of dyed weaving factory put forward by some foreign investors has been rejected by the Vietnamese local government, because the Vietnamese government's request is that the sewage treatment system must reach the level a, and investors can not meet this requirement.

They can only build B grade sewage treatment system, and the B treated effluent discharged from the factory can only be used to grow vegetables and fish, which is not drinkable.

The project was rejected by the authorities.
