   Material Science Bottlenecks are widely regarded as the most important problem restricting the development of 3D printing. Wuhan Textile University has recently established 3D Printing Materials Research Institute, and plans to develop a market for developing photocurable resin and curable wax materials for 3D printing. It promotes the popularization of 3D printing technology in China to the fields of handwork, portrait printing, and so on.

The Institute is composed of more than 10 overseas Chinese professors and doctorate from Wuhan Textile University, School of materials, textile and chemical engineering. Previously, members of the Institute Hai Feng Bao Professor's original resin toughening and strengthening technology has developed the UV curing wax and high performance curable resin suitable for 3D printing.

   Wuhan Textile University Professor Jiang Minghua, vice president, said that the advantage of the Institute is to integrate multi-disciplinary resources and make use of some textile fibers to modify materials, so that many new materials that can be printed by 3D can be synthesized experimentally.

Taking the UV curing resin as an example, the nano scale toughening agent and aramid short fiber and pulp reinforcement agent were used to modify acrylic resin, which made the composites have the advantages of low shrinkage, high accuracy and excellent mechanical properties. It is understood that the technology also significantly lowered the cost of the product, the price is only equivalent to 1/3 of the international similar products.

To achieve the combination of production, teaching and research, the Institute is now working with a 3D printing company to build an annual output of 500 tons of 3D printing resin production line, with an annual output value of 200 million yuan.

Wuhan Textile University introduces that the next research institute will also be involved in various fields of 3D printing materials such as nylon powder, plastic, metal powder and ceramics.

Recently, China Home Textile Association electrostatic flocking Specialized Committee annual meeting was held in Hangzhou.

Sun Youfeng, executive director of the electrostatic flocking special committee, said: "the transformation and upgrading of the flocking industry has reached a critical juncture. At the meeting, Professor Cai Zaisheng of Donghua University made a speech entitled "development and application of flame retardant finishing agent for polypropylene adhesives and polyester textiles". Professor Liu Yu made a speech entitled "strategic transformation framework of Chinese electrostatic flocking based on cloud fashion", which provided theoretical support for enterprises in new technology and strategic transformation.

Zhu Xiaohong, vice president and Secretary General of China Textile Association, said that the future China Home Textile Association will support flocking Committee and flocking enterprises in more aspects, and strive to promote the healthy development of flocking industry.

At the meeting, the electrostatic flocking special committee also commended the innovative products, demonstration enterprises and exemplary members of the flocking industry.
