MIT Develops AI Custom Clothing And Textile System. Everyone Is A Designer.

According to foreign media reports, researchers at the computer science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) of Massachusetts Institute of Technology have developed a computer-aided textile system that can automate the design and manufacture of clothing.

Even non professional designers can use the system to create personal designs from customizable templates on computers. The finished design can be sent to the textile machine automatically, and the system can even use wool to weave the work.

The advantage of this template is that common shapes like hat or glove are easy to create, and users can choose their favorite texture and pattern. If users are interested, they can create their own templates from scratch. With the help of the neural network system of the system, it will generate more options from existing templates. In one test, even users who had never had textile experience before were able to use the system to create hats and gloves, including complex patterns.

The researchers said they hoped that the system would help designers or textile workers to get the job done better, and that the system could also save material costs and improve productivity.
