In August 16th, Zhang Donggang, director of the personnel department of the Ministry of education, announced the decision on the appointment of the Party committee of the Ministry of education at Donghua University. Yu Jian Yong was president of Donghua University and Deputy Secretary of the Party committee. Teng Jianyong, deputy secretary of Shanghai municipal Party committee, attended the meeting. Relevant comrades of the personnel department of the Ministry of education, the Shanghai municipal Party Committee Organization Department, and the Shanghai municipal Party committee of teaching and health work attended the meeting.

Yu Jianyong, male, born in May 1964, joined the party in March 1985, and participated in the work in March 1988. He graduated from the textile and material discipline of China Textile University, and was a member of the Chinese Academy of engineering. From December 2009 to December 2015, he was vice president of Donghua University. He is currently a professor of Donghua University and director of textile science and technology innovation center.

At the meeting, Yu Jianyong said that under the leadership of the Party committee of the Ministry of education and the Shanghai Municipal Committee, the municipal government and the school Party committee, together with the leading bodies of the school and all teachers and students, the school will jointly write a new chapter in the connotation construction and quality development of the school, and jointly create a bright future for "advancing Donghua". Yu Jianyong said he hoped to carry forward the spirit of Donghua with all of us, strengthen the sense of innovation, pay attention to connotation construction, improve the quality of development, and achieve high-level development. First, we must strengthen our ideals and beliefs and constantly improve our political standing.
