Cooperation Between Guangxi And Zhejiang In Textile And Garment Industry

In order to deepen the industrial cooperation between the east and the west, the 2025 "going global" production and marketing docking and investment promotion activity of Guangxi textile and clothing (cocoon and silk) industry jointly hosted by the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Hechi Municipal Government was held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, on March 26. At the event, Zhao Enjiang, member of the Party Leadership Group and deputy director of the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, threw an olive branch to industry representatives. He introduced that as the largest silkworm production base in China, Guangxi's cocoon production accounted for 62.7% of the country's total, and its raw silk production capacity has ranked first in the country for 15 consecutive years, which has formed a unique advantage as a strategic core undertaking place of "moving silk from east to west".

"Guangxi is making every effort to build a 'Belt and Road' silk industry hub, while Zhejiang, as a strong textile province, has natural complementarities in raw material supply, technology research and development, market channels and other links." Zhao Enjiang said that Guangxi will provide investors with full industrial chain policy guarantees by implementing six special actions, including base quality and efficiency improvement, and promotion of artificial feed sericulture technology, We sincerely invite Zhejiang enterprises to share the opportunity of the construction of new land and sea channels in the west.

At the signing ceremony, the Administrative Committee of Guangxi Hechi Hi tech Zone and Zhejiang Tongxiang Zhouquan Qiangsheng Silk Floss Co., Ltd. reached cooperation on the production of new silk floss and silk spinning, and Guangxi Jialian Silk and Nantong Chenjinyi Textile Co., Ltd. signed three projects, including the purchase agreement of southern silk brocade, with a total amount of more than 700 million yuan.
