Chinese Textile Enterprises Expand American Market By Exhibition

Reporters learned at the exhibition that despite the weak external demand caused by the global economic slowdown, China textile industry is still actively expanding the US market.
According to the organizers of the exhibition, more than 300 exhibitors from 18 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions participated in the exhibition. The exhibition area was over 10 thousand square meters. The number of exhibitors and the exhibition area increased by 10% over the previous year. The strength of exhibitors also increased significantly.
In addition, this exhibition also showed some new characteristics. Not only the number of exhibitors from the central and western regions of China showed an upward trend, but also the willingness of large number of enterprises with high visibility and influence in the industry increased significantly.
Zhang Yankai, vice president of the China Textile Industry Federation, told Xinhua in an interview with Xinhua news agency that the number of exhibitors still hit a 13 year high this year under the environment of economic downward pressure, the labor cost of textile and garment industry, the increase of raw material cost and financial cost.
Zhang Yankai believes that, on the one hand, this shows that some enterprises in China are looking for their own development in the predicament, while the ability to resist risks has been enhanced. On the other hand, Chinese textile enterprises still have confidence in the market prospect.

But the financial crisis has made it impossible for many small and medium-sized buyers in the us to spend a lot of money and energy on direct sourcing in China. Many American manufacturers are unable to participate in the large-scale textile and garment exhibition in China. Zhang Yankai said, "through this exhibition, we will bring exhibitors to their doorsteps, which can promote bilateral trade exchanges."
According to the briefing, in the next three days, the organizers will also invite representatives from costumes, home textile designers and relevant trade organizations to exchange seminars with exhibitors, hoping that through this form of effective docking, the added value and fashion of participating enterprises will be improved.
In addition, the exhibition will also introduce the "elite Exhibition" program for continuous exhibitors and some of the top companies. It will be tilted in the field service and the matching of professional buyers.
The China Textile and clothing trade exhibition is hosted by the China Textile Industry Association and the China Textile Association of the International Trade Promotion Association. It is the only professional self exhibition of the Chinese textile and garment industry in the United States, and has formed a certain brand effect in the mainstream business circles of the United States.
The exhibition has been successfully held for the twelve time, not only helping a large number of industry dominant enterprises to establish in the United States.
