In the Forum on textile and clothing technology, the experts discussed the new concepts of technology and management innovation, latest inspection and testing technology and industrial management, and put forward ways to achieve sustainable and healthy development of Xinjiang's textile and garment industry.

Liang Yong, director of the leading group of industry promotion and employment, said that planning and promoting the textile and garment industry in Xinjiang must stand at the height of global market competition, resource allocation and technological development, adhere to a high level and high starting point development, take advantage of Xinjiang resources and locational advantages, make up for talents, short technology, and provide more competitive advantages for industrial development.

It is understood that with the acceleration of the construction of the core area of the Silk Road Economic Belt, Xinjiang is increasingly becoming a treasure land for the development of China's textile and garment industry with its policy, location and resources advantages.

In the first half of this year, the investment in fixed assets of our textile and garment industry reached 7 billion 50 million yuan, an increase of 187% over the same period last year, and the annual planned investment amounted to 27 billion 600 million yuan.

It is expected that 4 million spindles and 50 million garments will be produced this year, and 67 thousand new jobs will be available.

In order to promote the development of textile and garment industry in our country, we have developed cotton textile industry.

The enterprise admittance system should strictly guard against the elimination of backward production capacity in the mainland and pfer to Xinjiang. All enterprises that eliminate backward production capacity and cause environmental pollution or waste of resources will not be allowed to file a record or give policy support.

The forum is guided by the office of the leading group of Xinjiang textile and garment industry, which is sponsored by the quality and Technology Supervision Bureau of the autonomous region and Donghua University.

The Inspection Bureau and the Textile Institute of Donghua University aim to build a platform for exchanges and learning between universities, scientific research institutions and enterprises, and realize the leaping development of Xinjiang's textile and garment industry through the introduction of talents and technology from the mainland.
